DR. LADI HAMALAI

Associate Professor Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna

Dr. Hamalai has been Associate Professor, at the Nigerian Defence Academy since 2001. She received a D. Phil in Development Studies from the University of Sussex, Brighton UK in 1993. Eight years earlier, she was at the University of Wisconsin, Madison USA for her Master’s degree in Political Science. Her undergraduate foundation was in Political Science from Bayero University Kano, Nigeria.

Dr. Hamalai has over a dozen publications in various journals, chapters in books and a book to her credit. She has been Director on the Board of NAL Bank of Nigeria PLC since 2000. Dr. Hamalai is one of the few Nigerian women who have been conferred with the national honour of Member of the Order of the Federal Republic, MFR.
