Tayo Jegede is one of the foremost lawyers in Yola. He enlisted into the Nigerian Bar in 1984 and practiced with one of the earliest legal firms in Yola, Modibbo Raji Chambers, for twelve years. He became Principal Partner of his own law firm in 1996. Tayo Jegede’s distinction as a frontline lawyer in Yola has earned him the appointment of Notary Public by the Chief Justice of Nigeria since 1992. He chaired the local branch of the Nigerian Bar Association in Adamawa, for two non-consecutive terms. At the inception of the Abti Academy in 2002, Tayo Jegede became one of the founding members of its Governing Council.
